RUET's Sixth Convocation May Be Held in the Last Week of January

Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has received initial consent from the President and Chancellor, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, to hold its sixth convocation. The event is tentatively scheduled for the last week of January 2027. A delegation from RUET met with the President to discuss the arrangements.

Initial consent has been received from the President and Chancellor of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, regarding the university's sixth convocation. The convocation may be held in the last week of January 2027.

On Wednesday (September 16), a delegation led by RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S. M. Abdur Razzak paid a courtesy call on the President at Bangabhaban, where the organization of the convocation was discussed.

According to university sources, while initial consent has been received to organize the convocation in the last week of January next year with the President's approval, the final date of the event will be determined according to the President's schedule. The detailed program of the convocation will be announced later through a notification.

During the courtesy meeting, university representatives informed the President about RUET's educational activities, research, infrastructural development, and overall academic progress. Discussions also took place regarding the organization of the university's convocation.

Present at the meeting on behalf of RUET were Vice-Chancellor Professor S. M. Abdur Razzak, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain, Syndicate members Professor Dr. Md. Rabiul Islam Sarker, Professor H. M. Russel, deans of various faculties, and former RUET student and Member of Parliament for Narsingdi-5 (Raipura) constituency, Engineer Md. Ashraf Uddin Bakul.
