In protest of these incidents, the university unit of Chhatra Dal organized a protest march on campus.
On Tuesday (September 15), Chhatra Dal activists brought out a protest march around 11:30 PM. The procession paraded through various roads of the campus and concluded in front of Raju Sculpture at TSC.
Dhaka University Chhatra Dal President Ganesh Chandra Roy Sahas, General Secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon, Organizing Secretary Nasiruddin Shawon, along with university and hall-level leaders and activists, were present in the procession. During this time, they chanted various slogans including 'Catch the League, fill the jail', 'No place for terrorists on this campus', and 'Hoi Hoi Roi Roi, where did Chhatra Dal go?'
At the rally following the procession, DU Chhatra Dal General Secretary Nahiduzzaman Shipon said, "On July 18, the students and general public expelled those terrorists from the soil of Dhaka University who had established a reign of terror in every educational institution of Bangladesh. The people of Bangladesh will not give them an opportunity to return to politics."
Shipon stated, "We have information that Chhatra League activists in various university halls are still nominally resigning when opportune, but continuing their activities from within the halls to destabilize Dhaka University. We must keep a vigilant eye on them. Their venomous fangs must be uprooted."
Meanwhile, around 12:30 AM, in protest of the cocktail explosion incidents on campus and demanding an investigation into the incidents, demands for an investigation were raised.
